The Iowa Public Information Board received 134 Formal Complaints in 2024. Formal Complaints were distributed across all governmental bodies. Forty-two percent were filed against cities, 23% were against counties, 13% against school boards, 6% against state agencies, and 14% against other types of entities, such as library boards or townships.
